Chicago's Four Star Mushrooms has established itself as the artisan mushroom go-to for many of the city's fine-dining restaurants and reaches home cooks at several major grocery retailers.

And now this rising-star company has another distinction: It is one of more than 300 locations on Chicago Architecture Center’s 16th annual Open House Chicago, which takes place on October 17 and 18.

I had the pleasure in April of visiting Four Star Mushrooms — located at 320 N. Oakley Blvd. in the Near West Side neighborhood — for a tour and interview with co-founder and president Joe Weber. The focus, as reported in the story linked below, was how Four Star's mushroom-growing facility puts an indoor twist on the rising momentum behind regenerative agriculture.

Here are the details of the October 17-18 event from Four Star Mushroom's press release.
