The Color of Season Closure
With a few exceptions that stay open until just before Thanksgiving, now it's time to say goodbye to the Chicago region's 2026 outdoor farmers market season. The sea of red lettering in the weekly update of our Chicago Region Farmers Market Tracker designates markets that have already called it a season or are entering their last week.
It's not all bad news, though. I've learned that:
The Saturday South Loop Farmers Market on Chicago's Printers Row has extended its season three weeks through November 21.
Logan Square Farmers Market, which closed its season this past Sunday at its regular location is staging a "Surplus Sundays" market in the Humboldt Park neighborhood through November 15, and has announced that its Saturday indoor market season at the Avondale Collective (2800 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Logan Square) will kick off on November 28.
The Woodstock Farmers Market closes its outdoor season on Saturday (October 31) in Woodstock Square, then on November 7 moves to its off-season location at All Seasons Orchard.
Green City Market — which is keeping its Saturday markets in Lincoln Park and West Loop open through November 21 — will segue starting December 5 to its indoor market to be located in the same Avondale neighborhood location as in the past few years.
