Food Co-op is Located in Diverse Rogers Park on Chicago's Far North Side

Rogers Park is one of Chicago's most demographically diverse neighborhoods, and Wild Onion Market — the co-op grocery store located at 7007 N. Clark St. in Rogers Park — is highlighting that diversity in a series of in-store events.
June is a special month as it marks the store's 2nd anniversary, and its series includes special event: a tortilla-making class, led by Chef Ernesto Rodriguez of El Molcajete Sauces, that will be presented in Spanish. The class, which will include a meal, takes place this Saturday (June 6) from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Here is how the store describes the event in both English and Spanish:

The Family Tortilla Workshop will be a hands-on tortilla-making experience. This workshop is designed for children and adults to cook, learn, and enjoy time together while discovering the traditions behind one of the most beloved foods in Mexican cuisine.
Families will learn how corn is transformed into fresh masa and then into warm, handmade tortillas. Participants will practice mixing, pressing, and cooking tortillas on a traditional griddle while learning about the cultural history of corn and tortillas in Latin America.
After the workshop, everyone will gather around the table to enjoy a delicious meal featuring their fresh tortillas along with seasonal toppings, beans, rice, salsa, and fresh vegetables. Participants will enjoy refreshing agua frescas throughout the workshop, with flavors made from seasonal fruits and herbs.
The workshop is recommended for ages 5 and up. All children must attend with a participating adult. No previous cooking experience is necessary and all ingredients and equipment are provided.
