Toast Seven Generations Ahead's 25 Years Supporting Local Food on 10/7
Event at Midwest Coast Brewing Features Top Chef Creations with Local Ingredients
Seven Generations Ahead — a regional non-profit organization based in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park — is dedicated to building sustainable, healthy, and climate-resilient communities across the Chicago area and across the Midwest. Executive Director Gary Cuneen, who founded the organization in 2001, named it after the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) principle asserting that decisions made today must ensure a sustainable world seven generations into the future.
You can salute that legacy, and toast Seven Generations Ahead's 25 years of supporting local food, at their October 7 celebration. The event will be held at Midwest Coast Brewing, 2137 W. Walnut in Chicago's Near West Side neighborhood from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, October 7th, we will celebrate 25 years of supporting local food and our partnerships with farms and restaurants from 4:30-7pm at Midwest Coast Brewing.
This farm-to-table event will bring together leaders in the local food movement, from chefs to farmers to nonprofits. Attendees will experience delicious local food and drink, learn about local farms and farm to school programs, and connect with other leaders and advocates who understand that building a local food system is critical to building a more sustainable future.
