Nominations Sought for Farmers Using Climate-Smart Practices

Sharing a reminder: Nominations for the Climate Action Hero Awards, to be presented by Chicago's Climate Action Museum, must be submitted by end of day Monday (February 23).
The organizers have a particular interest in expanding the nominee pool for their new Food and Agriculture category that is honoring farmers for their contributions to sustainable agriculture.
Many readers of Local Food Forum know farmers who are doing great work to prevent further damage from global climate change. Please consider letting the Museum's selection committee know about them by submitting a nomination.
It is recommended that you contact your farmer hero to make sure he or she welcomes the nomination and would be available if chosen to accept the award at the 3rd Annual Climate Action Hero Awards in Chicago on April 16. You should also make sure that the farmer's practices directly apply to reducing greenhouse gases and promoting decarbonization.
The other categories that are open for nominations are:
Education
Government & Legislation
Business
Hazel L. Johnson Environmental Justice
Champion ("Honoring an individual or group that has advanced CAM’s mission")
Climate Tech
