Please Consider Including FACT in Your Giving Tuesday and End of Year Charity

[Note to Food and Farm Non-Profits: Local Food Forum Extends The Offer to Publish Your Giving Tuesday/End of Year Appeals for free. Please send your content to Bob at bob@localfoodforum.com.]
I have written often about Food Animal Concerns Trust (FACT) and its impactful efforts to improve the welfare of farm livestock. Local Food Forum is pleased to share their Giving Tuesday/End of Year appeal and urges you to consider making a donation to this important cause.

“I feel the future of farming is and will be greatly impacted by FACT, and I look forward to seeing a world of humane farmers who are dedicated to raising their farm animals in a humane and healthy manner and creating a healthy new food system.”
Lisa Keim, FACT Supporter
It has been a difficult year for many people in the US. Many farmers have been hit by government funding cuts and by rising prices. We know that many farmers in our network of more than 12,000 are struggling to get by.
Today, more than ever, it is important to support these farmers. We at FACT are committed to continuing our support for farmers who raise their animals humanely, on pasture, in their natural setting. Through grants, webinars, scholarships, and our mentorship program, we have helped to improve the lives of more than 47,000,000 food animals.
This holiday season, I am writing to ask for your support so that the impact of our work and our support for humane farmers and farm animals will continue to grow.
Chris Muse owns Muse 3 Farm in St. Helena Parish, Louisiana. Since 2022, he has been providing fresh meat to three school districts thanks to USDA funding. Sadly, this funding was cut off this year in the middle of his contract, creating challenges for him and for the schools.
In an interview on his local news station Muse said: “We’re not doing justice to our community if we cannot get our products into those school systems.”
We are planning on giving out $250,000 directly to farmers through grants in 2026. Your donation goes towards supporting these farmers!
“It is impossible to overstate the impact FACT has had on our farm. Since 2020, I've been engaged in the network via the Humane Farming Mentorship Program, the Fund-A-Farmer grants, webinars as a host and attendee, financial training bootcamp, and so much more.
The quality of resources and support FACT offers is truly second to none. Supporting FACT is critical to making it possible for high-welfare livestock farms like ours to remain viable.”
Anna Pesek, Owner of Over the Moon Farm and Flowers in Iowa
Farmers need our help now more than ever. FACT believes in helping small, independent farmers, who are providing all of us with healthy food and working together to create a healthier, more humane food system.
Together, we can put an end to factory farming and inhumane living conditions for animals. Help us protect the health and well-being of all.
We need your help to make all of this happen. By supporting FACT, you are supporting humane farmers and their animals. During this holiday season, please consider supporting FACT by making a gift of $48, $115, $285, $570, or another amount that is meaningful to you. Please donate today.
Thank you for your support of FACT. All of us send you and your loved ones our best wishes for a joyous, healthy, and wonderful holiday season.
Warm regards,
Harry Rhodes
