Big Event Takes Place in Minneapolis on September 20

Time flies, and the 40th anniversary Farm Aid Festival on September 20 is almost around the corner. All of my arrangements for Minneapolis are set, but you can enter a lottery for a free trip, with amazing benefits, by making a donation to Farm Aid, the amazing non-profit that advocates for family farmers and a better, more local, more sustainable food system.
For as little as $10, to a much as $500, your donation will earn you multiple entries for the drawing. The deadline to enter the contest, run by the fundraising company Fandiem, is September 9 with the drawing scheduled for September 11.
Here's what you'd win for this mega-event, which will be held at Huntington Bank Stadium, home of the University of Minnesota football team:
Round trip travel to Minneapolis and a two-night stay for two
Two Hi-Fi Experience Passes to the Festival
Exclusive Upfront Access to the Photo Pit (I did this for the first time last year and trust me, it's a bucket list kind of thing)
Amazing seats in the first 12 rows
Access to the Hi-Fi Experience club including family farm sourced catering, chef pop-ups and more
Two passes to the private Farm Aid Eve event the night before the Festival (Friday, September 19)
Two reserved seats for the Farm Aid 40 Press Event before festival gates open
And of course there's the music, headlined by Farm Aid Co-Founders Willie Nelson, Neil Young (with his Chrome Hearts Band) and John Mellencamp; Board members Dave Matthews, with a long list of fellow performers.
All this plus the Homegrown Village, featuring leading national and regional non-profits and other advocates, and Homegrown Concessions, featuring family farm-identified, local and organic foods.
