A Pretty Travelogue of a Walk Around the Block

As you'd expect from a publication called Local Food Forum, food is almost everything we write about. But my abiding love of nature is closely tied to my advocacy for sustainable/organic/regenerative farming, and since we moved to Chicago in 2011, I've become a pretty serious urban nature photographer.

Spring foliage got off to a bit of a slow start because of the persistent chilly temperatures. But it didn't take much of a warmup for the beauty of spring to start to pop.

Sunday was a lovely day, so I took my camera along on a walk around the block. It just happens to be a very pretty block.

I thought this would be a nice gentle way to start the workweek. Happy Monday and make sure you get outside for a while.

Finally, this big neighbor bunny says hi.
