Nomination Deadline is Feb. 22 — Winners Will Be Announced at April 16 Ceremony

It seems a fair guess that anyone reading Local Food Forum either knows or knows about farmers, businesses and advocates who are working hard to promote a healthy and more sustainable environment. So I'm happy to share an opportunity to nominate a visionary leader for a Climate Action Hero Award.
The awardees are chosen by Chicago's Climate Action Museum (CAM), located at 300 S. Riverside Plaza in the city's West Loop. The museum is dedicated to recognizing individuals, businesses and organizations leading the way in climate action.
The museum is seeking nominations — by the February 22 deadline — for its Climate Action Hero Awards, which will be announced at its 3rd annual ceremony to be held on April 16 at The Library@190 S. LaSalle.
According to the museum's website, the Awards ceremony highlights those making a tangible impact through education, advocacy, innovation and direct action. And I'm excited that there is a brand new category for Food and Agriculture "honoring farmers for their contributions to sustainable agriculture."
The other categories that are open for nominations are:
Education
Government & Legislation
Business
Hazel L. Johnson Environmental Justice
Champion ("Honoring an individual or group that has advanced CAM’s mission")
Climate Tech
Climate Action Films
Again, nominations are open through February 22. Click the first button below to submit a nomination, and the second to learn more about the Climate Action Museum.
