Here is how the organization, based in the state capital of Des Moines, describes the position:
The Iowa Organic Association is seeking a full-time Executive Director who is passionate about expanding organic resources and opportunities in Iowa. The ideal candidate will have a non-profit leadership background, be knowledgeable about organic production (or willing and excited to learn) and have experience overseeing operations, fundraising, finances, program development and delivery, managing staff and volunteers, and representing the organization to stakeholders. The Executive Director will provide direct coaching and supervision to three staff and two contractors who handle education and outreach programming, communications and marketing, financials, and administrative support.
The candidate chosen for the position must live in Iowa, but can work remotely from anywhere in the state.
