Project to Better Define Local Food Ecosystem Has Held a Series of Events

Local Food Forum has previously reported about the Illinois Food System Roadmap Task Force, administered by the Experimental Station non-profit. The task force has held a series of live and online events since February, inviting anyone with a strong interest in seeing the food system improve and being a part of making it happen. Its goals:
to learn about the state of our food system—its strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities;
to connect people and raise awareness of the great work being done;
and to create interest and traction toward further work on a Roadmap for our state.
After receiving an enormous amount of constructive feedback at these session, the task force invites to attend an online presentation of their findings. The Zoom event will take place on Wednesday, June 18 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The session will feature major learnings from the listening sessions, as the task force seeks to continue to build momentum for working together on the Illinois roadmap.
