Making a Splash Near Belmont Harbor
Local Food Forum is, of course, primarily focused on food. But one of the joys of living in Chicago is the extraordinary amount of natural beauty we enjoy here. This city's forefathers had the foresight to preserve miles and miles of Lake Michigan's shoreline as open public space.
I get out when I can to photograph some of this splendor, with a special fondness for taking the short walk from our apartment building to the lakefront at Belmont Harbor on days when gusty winds create spectacular waves. It seems a shame not to share these views, so here's an early September sampler.
Plus, a bonus seagull in flight...
