Southside Market and Cafe Cooperative — a community-owned micro grocery and cafe at 433 E. 79th St. in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood — is getting ready to open this summer... and they are looking for vendors.
They have circulated this message:
"If you are a local grower, producer, entrepreneur, and/or artisan interested in selling product(s) at Southside Market, please complete this vendor application or kindly share with a business that you would love to see in our store/on our shelves. If you'd like to learn more about the co-op (selling, ownership, events and more), please visit them online at www.chisouthsidemarket.com or email info@chisouthsidemarket.com."
Southside Market will be the latest entry in a food community that is generating economic energy in Chatham. The community includes legendary Lem's BBQ — recipient of a 2025 James Beard Foundation America's Classics award — as well as Brown Sugar Bakery, all-vegan Soul Veg City, and Mabe's Deli.
Want to be a part of it? Fill out Southside Market and Cafe's vendor application or contact them for more information.
