Bob Zeni is Open to Sharing Space with Other Producers

Bob Zeni, founder/owner of Chicago Tomato Man, annually produces tomato starter plants in an astounding range of artisan varieties. It's not an exaggeration to say that Bob is a beloved figure among his customer base of home tomato growers.
This weekend, he contacted me to inform that the the landlord at their current location in the Douglass Park neighborhood informed him that the space probably will not be available next spring.
To help out this good friend, I'm spreading the word that Bob's in the market for a new space, and is willing to partner with another business. If you happen to own a space or know someone who might have something available to lease or sublease, please click the button below to contact Bob directly.
Here are the basics:
• 3,500-4,000 square feet
• Electrical, water and drainage
• Big south-facing windows would be wonderful, but not critical
• Access for rolling racks – garage-type door would work, standard loading dock not necessary.
• Near West Town / the Medical District would be great, but we're flexible
• Totally unfinished is AOK
• Low rent – $1 to $1.50 per SF.
• Occupancy – April 1 to July 1
