Meet Top Chefs and Take a Day Off Your Diet for This Popular Annual Food Feast

Chicago is one of the world's foodie capitals, and it hosts many, many food tasting events. But only a select few can be classified as epic... and Green City Market's annual Chef BBQ is one of those.
As a regular at this event, I am happy to share the news that this year's Chef BBQ will be held on Thursday, September 4 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. as a one-off pop-up at Green City Market's flagship location in Lincoln Park.
Chef BBQ features small plates of food creations from dozens of leading Chicago region restaurants, craft beer and spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. And if you're vegan or vegeterian, don't be put off by the BBQ part; you'll be able to eat your fill with the delicious non-meat dishes at the event.
It will also be an exceedingly rare opportunity for you to meet some of the region's top chefs, some of whom will be working the line to serve up your portion.
Induglent, yes, but also virtuous. Green City Market is a non-profit organization that, since its founding in 1999, has stimulated the massive growth in the farmers market community while setting standards, accepted by most markets, for sourcing locally and sustainably.
Chef BBQ not only helps support Green City's operations, but also its mission to expand local food access by tripling the value of government food assistance benefits, support local farmers, and provide food education for young and old.
