Non-Profit Advocate for Family Farmers Encourages Watch Parties

If you're a regular Local Food Forum reader, you probably have an inkling that I'm totally psyched for my trip to Minneapolis to cover the 40th anniversary Farm Aid Festival on Saturday, September 20. (If you're going too, let me know and maybe we can connect there.)
I assume, though, that most readers are not going to make the trip. So I'm happy to share that Farm Aid, as has been the case for several years, will be live-streaming the entirety of its amazing concert, which begins early in the afternoon and runs until late at night.
The headliners are Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp — the legends who launched Farm Aid with its 1985 Festival in Champaign, Illinois — and Board members Dave Matthews and Margo Price.
The stacked lineup features country music icons Wynonna Judd, Steve Earle and Kenny Chesney; Jesse Welles, whose protest songs have some describing him as the Bob Dylan of his generation; and more. The latest addition — Lukas Nelson, son of Willie Nelson — is not a surprise, as he has performed with his father at a series of Farm Aid Festivals.
Farm Aid is also encouraging you to gather your friends by offering Watch Party Kits. Click this button to learn more...
