Breaking News: Farm Aid Heads to Virginia Beach for 41st Festival

Leading Non-Profit Advocate for Family Farmers Plans September Southern Sojourn



Farm Aid, the musician-driven non-profit advocate for family farmers and a more sustainable food system, is heading to Virginia Beach for its 41st annual festival, which will be held on Saturday, September 26.


Farm Aid 2026 follows on the heels of the organization's 40th anniversary event last September, held before 37,000 attendees at University of Minnesota's football stadium and culminating in a concert that lasted more than 12 hours.


As has been the case since the first Farm Aid held in 1985 in Champaign, Illinois, the scheduled headliners are Farm Aid founders Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp, along with the new musician Board members Dave Matthews, Margo Price and Nathaniel Ratlieff.


The Festival will be held at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater, about 12 miles west of Virginia Beach's shoreline. It will be Farm Aid's first Festival in Virginia Beach and its fourth in the state of Virginia, following three concerts at the Nissan Pavilion outside Washington, D.C. in 1999, 2000 and 2016.
